Dr Malek is a full-time senior associate and has been practising exclusively as a breast-imaging specialist since 2015. She realised early in her career that breast imaging was a specialised discipline, requiring not only high-level technical skills and knowledge but also the utmost compassion and patience.

Before joining Dr Shirley Lipschitz, she trained in the USA under experts in the field; she continues to expand her knowledge and skills by attending both local and international courses, congresses and conferences to stay at the forefront of breast cancer diagnosis and management. She has also completed a learnership in breast MRI imaging and interpretation.

Dr Malek prides herself on being meticulous and cautious. She is genial, compassionate and caring.
